The Mid Life Crisis Commandments


1.  Thou shalt not feel guilty EVER!  This is not about feeling selfish for taking time for yourself, nor about feeling ashamed because you had a bad diet day.

2.  Thou shalt post Fitbit activity and food log daily.  Can you say accountability?  Dana's Fitbit Link

3.  Thou shalt not let a day pass without doing something for yourself.  Can be as big as a day at the spa or as small as a new coat of nail polish or 5 min of quiet "me" mediation time.

4.   Thou shalt eat well.  We all know what it means...we just don't do what we should.

5.  Thou shalt not leave the house (except in extreme emergencies- i.e. going to the ER) without doing SOMETHING with hair and putting on makeup and wearing decent clothes.

Today is the first day of my mid-life crisis and also my 38th birthday!  Diet not so great today, but ya know, birthdays only come once a year....that and Commandment #1-  NO GUILT!  Think I will start by painting my toenails an ocean blue color.  Going to the beach next Saturday and I want to start feeling beachy!  Nice way to start!  Took a hot bath with epsom salt--doing a little detox.  Kind of a crappy day...but I figure this is my rock bottom here.
